关于大赛介绍：

环球亚裔超级模特大赛是由美国《好莱坞新闻报》（<HOLLYWOOD NEWS>）和美国米高梅大酒店与娱乐有限公司(MGM Grand Hotel and Casino)共同举办的国际性模特大赛，是专门针对美国亚裔面孔和亚洲国家模特在国际T型台（和演艺舞台）上展露才华的顶级模特赛事。

    环球亚裔超级模特大赛每两年一届，已经在美国洛杉矶、拉斯维加斯成功举办了两届，第三届将于2004年8月在美国拉斯维加斯举办。环球亚裔超级模特大赛将云集美国本土的亚裔模特以及中国、日本、韩国、中国香港、中国台湾、泰国、马来西亚、印度尼西亚、新加坡、菲律宾、印度、越南等国家的优秀选手参赛。中国区总决赛将首次选派前8名佳丽同时走向世界总决赛的舞台。

    2004环球亚裔超级模特大赛中国区总决赛将于2004年7月举行，比赛由中国演出家协会与上海文广集团共同主办，环球风行（北京）文化传媒有限公司承办；大赛将设华北赛区、东北赛区、华中赛区、华南赛区、华东赛区、西北赛区、西南赛区等七个分赛区；每个分赛区的前3名直接进入总决赛，其他获奖选手经过大赛组委会严格评审，也将有机会进入中国区总决赛；获得中国总决赛前8名的选手将前往美国拉斯维加斯参加世界总决赛，并同时参加好莱坞（HOLLYWOOD）的一系列表演,广告的面试及各类公关活动等。

    环球亚裔超级模特大赛中国区总决赛将为中国大陆的优秀模特、演艺人才打开通向好莱坞（HOLLYWOOD）的大门，成为其走上世界舞台的重要桥梁和纽带。

The Universal Asian Supermodel Competition is an international standard beauty competition being jointly organized by "Hollywood News" and MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. This competition is aimed at introducing the Asian face, both Asians living in the USA as well as from Asia, to the world in a top model competitive environment.

The Universal Asian Supermodel Competition is held every two years, and has already been held twice, once in Los Angeles and once in Las Vegas. The third competition is to be held in August of 2004 in Las Vegas. The Universal Asian Supermodel Competition will include Asian American models as well as models from China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, India, Vietnam, etc. as contestants. The top 8 contestants from China will be entitled to participate in the world finals.

The China regional finals of the 2004 Universal Asian Supermodel Competition will be held in July of 2004. This competition is being organized by Cultural Department Chinese Artists Committee & Shanghai Advertising Company, under the guidance of Universal Wind (Beijing) Cultural Media Co, Ltd. The China region will be further subdivided into seven districts: Northern District, Northeastern District, Central District, Southern District, Eastern District, Northwestern District, and Southwestern District. The top three contestants from each district will be entitled to participate in the China regional finals. Additional 'wildcard' entries will be decided on by the organizing committee. The top 8 contestants from China will be entitled to participate in the world finals in Las Vegas, as well as given the opportunity to participate in Hollywood PR activities such as performances, advertising, interviews, etc.

The China regional finals of the 2004 Universal Asian Supermodel Competition is a great window of opportunity for top Chinese models and artists to gain access to Hollywood and exposure to the world, at the same time creating a bridge between the Chinese and the world entertainment communities.
